8-bit anyone?

So I thought it would be cool to convert some of my favorite songs into 8-bit. Unfortunately to do this, the songs have to be midi files, which means no mp3s! (O.o)

Anyway, I found some of my favorite Zelda songs (and some others) and was excited to yield the results. Here they are!

Download Zip File: Awesome 8-bit tunes.zip

Cool right? If you’re interested in trying it and your computer runs a Windows OS, download the program GXSCC here.

All you have to do is click and drag any midi file into the program. It will automatically convert it into 8-bit for you. To save the file click, “Authoring” at the top. That’s it. Have fun!

If you’re a Mac user, you can create something similar called Chiptunes using garage band. Find out more here.
